The original design for the terraced houses called for timber louvres, however a more cost-effective solution that required less maintenance was needed, while still providing a sleek timber look.
Aurae Solaris 110 clasp-fixed louvres were supplied with a Metwood Light Manuka finish. This woodgrain finish is near identical to the original timber specified which allowed the architect to achieve the same design aesthetic.
There are many benefits to using aluminium louvre blades for a project like this one. Aluminium will not warp or fade, the same way that timber does over time – this means much less maintenance for the occupants of the homes.
Now completed, this terraced housing development ticks all the boxes when it comes to functionality, aesthetics and modern design.
