Powder coating gives a durable, uniform finish which is resistant to scratching, chipping, fading and wear. A wide range of colours and finish types are available suitable for interior and exterior use. The process is environmentally friendly as there are no solvents or V.O.C.’s (Volatile Organic Compounds).

Powder coating is a finishing technology where a decorative and highly protective coating can be applied to a wide range of products. The process involves spraying finely ground, electrostatically charged particles of pigment and resin onto the surface. The charged powder particles are attracted to the electrically earthed surface and then heated and fused in an oven giving a smooth finish.

It is harder and has a thicker coat than wet paint.  It is also environmentally better in that it has no V.O.C.’s  (volatile organic compounds).

Like painting a house, preparation is everything.  Without proper pretreatment the coating may look good at first but will more quickly deteriorate and perhaps even fall off.

Zinc phosphate is the best pre-coating full emersion rust protection system available for steel and is used by car manufacturers worldwide.

Powder manufacturers give varying warranties but for film integrity 15 years is quite normal when the item is properly prepared and is washed regularly.

Yes we do. We need to sandblast or strip back to bare metal, apply corrosion protection then undercoat and then top powder coat.  We can do all this at our PC 88 site.
